Knoxville, TN - Edamerica welcomes Jonathan Looney to the Southeast marketing team. Looney will represent Edamerica working with schools in Georgia effective September 12th. Formerly director of financial aid at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Looney will be a district account executive, reporting directly to Karen Gibson, vice president and director of the Southeast Region.

“Jonathan has extensive knowledge of people and processes in the financial aid community,” says Gibson. “He is a self-motivated individual with high energy and has proven his ability to get the job done. I am delighted to have him as part of the Southeast team.”

At UTC Looney was responsible for coordinating all federal, state and institutional financial aid programs as well as implementing the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship programs, including the HOPE Scholarship. Prior to his time at UTC, Looney was financial aid director at Northwestern Technical College in Georgia. He has a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a master’s degree in Public Administration, both from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
