Knoxville, TN: Edamerica welcomes Robert Sommers to the Midwest Marketing Team as the regional marketing director for the Indiana Region. Formerly the executive director of financial aid at Indiana Wesleyan, Sommers reports directly to Steve Queisser, vice president and director of the Midwest Region.
“Robert brings a wealth of financial aid & admissions experience to Edamerica as well as a level of integrity that is unmatched,” says Queisser. “He has been a great friend and customer over the years and will offer us a unique perspective, as we seek to provide the highest level of customer service in the industry.”
Sommers has been involved in all aspects of admissions and financial aid at Indiana Wesleyan, where he received both his bachelor’s degree and his MBA. He has twelve years of experience in the industry, having provided leadership in managing a staff of thirty-four employees between both the Traditional and Adult & Graduate Studies Departments. Additionally, Sommers supervised compliance, implemented technology and planned strategy for numerous initiatives. Recently, he led the financial aid implementation of the university-wide software solution.
