Knoxville, TN: Edamerica welcomes Lidiette Esquivel as marketing representative in South Florida,
effective immediately. Esquivel comes to Edamerica from Nelnet, where she was senior vice
president and district manager, responsible for managing the Florida and Puerto Rico sales team. At
Edamerica, she reports directly to Karen Gibson, vice president and director of the Southeast region.

"Lidiette brings with her years of experience and a detailed understanding of the student loan
marketplace. We’re thrilled to have her join our Florida team," says Gibson.

In her previous position, Esquivel served as the liaison between SunTrust and Nelnet. She acted as a
troubleshooter, resolving problems and providing guidance for financial aid professionals and student
loan servicers. Previously, Esquivel was director of financial aid for St. Thomas University and before
that, for Trinity International University, both in Miami. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology
from Florida International University and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Trinity
International University. Esquivel has nearly 20 years of hands-on experience in financial aid.
